DESTINATION Albuquerque

The hope I had for Traditional Chinese Medicine was that it would determine the reason why my own mother suffered from migraine headaches, and that it would provide a form of treatment which would look at the root of why she suffered for so long.

As symptoms persisted/worsened, the headaches became more frequent, and begun to take their toll.  Over time, treatment options were running out, and nothing had provided long-lasting relief, much less completely getting rid of the headaches.  Conventional methods could not provide answers, or results.

In search of truth of what was behind the migraine, my curiosity led me to seeking another way…another perspective.  Afterall, no one should have to live like this!

In less than one year from that point in time, I found myself far removed from home, in the desert Southwest of Albuquerque, New Mexico. I was about to embark upon an educational journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine.  I enrolled at the Southwest Acupuncture College.

I enrolled without ever having a treatment, nor did I personally know of anyone who had a treatment.

Traditional Chinese Medicine has transcended time, its storied history is thousands of years old.  Nothing lasts if it does not work - My faith was blind, but my determination and tenacity would climb mountains.

I needed to find the answer I was looking for, and this was the path I followed.  After giving up four years of my life to the study of this medicine, I can tell you I am forever thankful I followed my heart.

I found the answers!

THIRTEEN YEARS LATER, I AM STILL AMAZED

From Migraines to Back Pain, Neck Pain to Knee Pain, Wrist & Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, Digestion & Elimination, Anxiety & Depression, Menstrual & Menopause, Allergies & Asthma, Arthritis & Auto-Immune Presentations, Acne & Cosmetic Treatments...and Pain, From Acute to Long-Term and Disabling...

How does One System of Medicine have the ability to treat so many Different Presentations, Diagnoses, as well as those Who are Seeking Optimal Health?

Each Patient is Unique. Each treatment is Unique.

There is No Treatment for Anything.  There is Your Treatment - Completely Unique to You, Your Signs & Symptoms.  The Complaint may be the same, yet the treatment completely different.

The Primary Complaint is put into Perspective, within the Presentation of the Whole Picture.  Chinese Medicine considers the Physical as well as the Non-Physical, the Physiological & the Psychological.  The Tongue.  The Pulses of the Body.  Various Points on the Body.  These Individual Pieces are then put together, like that of a puzzle, revealing a Picture.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a System of Health.  Described by Ted Kaptchuk as "a System of Thought and Practice that has been Developed over Two Millennia; The Result of a Continuous process of Critical Thinking, as well as extensive Clinical Observation and Testing."  The Power of Practice.

The Body has Given you the Power to Heal, Use It!

Acupuncture

The Needle

Precision made, Surgical Grade Stainless Steel. The modern-day needle has come a long way, yet for thousands of years, it has been gently inserted into Traditional Acupuncture Points, located all over the body, to stimulate the body's own healing mechanisms and naturally increase the flow of oxygen & blood. Circulation is paramount in health & healing.

Herbs

Thousands of Years

For every Acupuncture Prescription of points, there would be a complementary herbal prescription, designed to Internally Heal the Body. Acupuncture, External. Herbs, Internal. Together they work to restore and harmonize imbalances, which present as Signs & Symptoms. Herbs are similar to having acupuncture everyday, thereby expediting the Natural Healing Process.
